Get rid of ads in FireFox & Google Chrome

Ads are annoying and they also open doorways for malicious software (malware: viruses, spyware, adware, etc) to enter your computer and do damage.

The solution?
Adblock Plus, a glorious add on for FireFox & Chrome that blocks ads, even those that play before videos on Youtube.

Google Chrome Instructions:

1. Click the button on the far right (usually 3 lines)
2. Hover over Tools
3. Click 'Extensions'
4. Click 'Get More Extensions'
5. Search for 'adblock plus'
6. Look for 'Adblock Plus' from 'adblockplus.org'
7. Hit 'Add to Chrome' or the '+ Free' button
8. Click 'Add' when prompted.
9. Go back to 'Extensions'
10. Hit 'Options' under Adblock Plus
11. Under 'Filter Lists' tab, uncheck 'Allow some non-intrusive advertising' 

No more ads!

Mozilla FireFox Instructions:

1. Look for 'Tools' & 'Add-ons' (May have to click 'Firefox' in top left)
2. Click 'Add-ons'
3. Click 'Get Add-ons'
4. In the top right where it says 'Search all add-ons' type 'adblock plus'
5. It's symbol is a stop sign with the letters 'ABP' like this:

7. Click 'Install' on the far right
8. Then, go to 'Extension' on the left
9. Hit 'Options' For Adblock Plus
10. Click 'Filter Preferences'
11. At the bottom, UNCHECK 'Allow some non-intrusive advertising'

No more ads!
